Oldenburg, July 2026 - BTC Embedded Systems has released the first version of BTC TestAgent. BTC TestAgent brings AI-powered test automation to system-level testing of safety-critical software - on HIL as well as virtual HIL environments. In doing so, it follows the principle that defines everything at BTC: By proof, not by promise. Every result produced by BTC TestAgent is traceable and verifiable. It is this combination that makes the reliable use of AI in safety-critical development possible in the first place.
Access to HIL and vHIL/SIL environments is built on the brand-new Test Automation SDK from our partner dSPACE, which lets BTC TestAgent connect directly to customers' established dSPACE test infrastructures.
The initial rollout is deliberately limited to selected customers with whom BTC collaborates at a partner level. Together with them, BTC TestAgent is being proven in real-world development environments and prepared, step by step, for productive use in standard development. Trustworthy AI in the safety domain is not created in a lab - it is built shoulder to shoulder with the people who use it every day.
BTC TestAgent is based on BTC QCore - the technology core that combines more than 25 years of formal verification and automated test technology with the capabilities of AI.
